Whether you’re co-parenting, single parenting, or part of a blended family, Banana Split Playgroup offers a welcoming space for kids to play and caregivers to connect. This is a judgment-free environment where families can build community, share experiences, and support one another
Run Club
Join this running crew for a casual 3 mile-ish run to start the day. All experience levels welcome. Meet at the intersection of Staniford Road and the bike path in Burlington’s New North End. If you drive to the meet-up, you can park on Stanbury Road or Staniford Farms Road. We run in any weather, so please dress accordingly! If you’d like to join the Run Club WhatsApp group, please message Dan Castrigano at dan@dadguild.org.

We’ll have a fun finish line set up - playground toys, bubble machines, and some snacks.
Hot dogs (both meat and veggie) will be offered as a lunch option. But folks are welcome to bring their own picnic lunches too.

UPDATE: Follow the Dad Trek location LIVE using this link starting at 7:00am on 5/30.
Dad Trek
Join us for our inaugural Dad Trek Fundraiser! Dads and masculine-identifying caregivers are invited to join us for a 10-mile walk from Red Rocks Park in South Burlington to Airport Park in Colchester. We will depart at 7am and arrive at Airport Park at approximately 11am for a whole-family party and lunch at the playground.
Also, you know how we *metaphorically* support Dads? Well, this time we will also be *physically* supporting Dads, by taking turns pulling each other in several Dad Guild Rickshaws. We will take turns walking, riding, and pulling!
Here is an interactive Google Map of our planned route.
UPDATE: Follow the Dad Trek location LIVE using this link starting at 7:00am on 5/30.

Playground Playgroup (Richmond)
The weather is warming up, meaning it’s the time of year where we get back out on the playground! There are tons of amazing playgrounds in the area, but let’s be honest, it’s always more fun when our kid has others to play with, and there are other caregivers to chat with. Or at least attempt to chat with as we chase our little ones around. See you out there!

Camp Finder Hackathon
POP UP EVENT - the first official Dad Guild Hackathon
Are you a techy-ish dad?
Is searching for the right summer camps for your kids, ones that fits the exact ages and dates needed, an annual stressor?
Well, do we have a fun project for you.
A rad community dad has built an awesome camp finder search portal tool. But they need some help tweaking it and making improvements before it is ready to be totally published. So Dad Guild is excited to host our first ever hackathon, where dads will all meet up to help work on the project together. (And also eat tacos! Dad Guild will provide a taco kit dinner from Moe’s)
What is a hackathon? - It is a focused event where techy folks meet up to work collaboratively on a project.
Do I need to be a tech wizard to participate? - No. Naturally, having some tech skills (like coding) helps but it is not necessary to participate. There are plenty of digital but not super technical tasks participants can contribute to.
Interested? Then RSVP today! https://online.traxsolutions.com/dadguild/main#/search
Dads Night Out: Board Games at the Guild Hall

FRANKLIN: Dads’ Night Out - Intro to Magic The Gathering
Never played Magic: The Gathering before and want to learn? Did you play back in the 90s and want to get back into it but need a refresher and a chance to knock the rust off? Then this is the event for you!
We’ll play with simplified 60 card decks and focus on getting a handle on the basic mechanics and strategy. Official Welcome Decks will be available for attendees to use during the event. But if you still have your rad mono-black Spirit of the Night deck from the 90s still intact, feel free to bring that too!
