We'll then reflect on how we can become more attuned to our children's regulatory states and how we can intervene using co-regulation. This workshop is facilitated by Alex Shevrin Venet, education expert and author of the books Equity-Centered Trauma Informed Education and Becoming an Everyday Changemaker.

The Slide: a conversation about modern gaming, online radicalization, and parenthood
Video gaming has never been more widespread. Sadly, harmful hateful content that can radicalize young viewers has also never been more widespread. Those responsible for radicalization often use gaming spaces to achieve it.
Come join us for an open, interactive conversation on Thursday, May 22nd from 7pm - 9pm moderated by Grant Patterson, owner / operator of the WNFC esports Dojo afterschool program. We’ll discuss what radicalization mechanisms look like, how they target the minds of children, and what we can do as parents to ensure gaming remains a positive activity. Recommended for dads of kids 9+
